Meet the Team – Dwayne Allen

We are very pleased here at Netsource to have been approached by experienced recruiter, Dwayne Allen and to announce his joining the Netsource team.

With four years’ valuable experience Dwayne already knows the ropes and has settled into his new role as if he had always been here. Throughout his career, Dwayne has been keen to provide an honest and transparent service to his clients which our values of honesty and integrity will help him achieve. I spoke to Dwayne after his first weeks to find out about his ambitions and his previous 10 seconds of fame!

Tell is a little about yourself and your background.

I would describe myself as a hard working family man who enjoys getting to know and meet people both on a business and personal level.

I’m approaching my 4th year in Recruitment and like most people I fell into Recruitment. I saw the bright lights when reading Recruitment Job Descriptions and landed my first job in Recruitment 1 month after graduating.

Throughout my Recruitment career, I’ve seen the good, bad and ugly, and I always focus on providing an honest and transparent service for my clients and candidates. If you scan through LinkedIn or just see what people type in on google about Recruitment Consultants, you can see the public perceptions of Recruiters is quite negative, so one by one, with Netsource’s support, I’m looking to change that perception with the people that I deal with.

What was to you attractive about Netsource?

The longevity of Nesource showed me that the company was successful at what they do, and also adaptable with their approach.

Also, interviewing with Nick and Sally I was convinced that Netsource was the company for me, even though I tried to play it cool. I was looking for a company that was fair, a company that would allow me to be there long-term and reach my financial goals and after my interviews I was confident Netsource’s environment could allow me to achieve this.

How have you found your first week?

First week has been great! I have been joking with the team saying that it feels like I’ve been working with Netsource a lot longer than just a week (in a good way of course).  I enjoy being around the team, and look forward to see what the future brings.

What are you working on?

Currently I’m working on developing one of Netsource’s major account in the UK, where there is a lot of Technical Cloud and Development roles for me to attack, whilst at the same time developing business in the North of England and in London. From my first day I was making calls to clients, speaking to candidates, and been busy with opportunities to make placements already, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What do you hope to achieve?

In the short term, I hope to achieve the targets that Nick gave me for this year, and then heading into the New Year I would like to over-achieve in what is expected of me. Also, by the end of next year I would like to be in a position where I need a Resourcer or 2 to help me on my existing accounts.

By meeting this goal, short-term I would like to buy myself a BMW 3 Series GT (Second-hand of course), buy my Daughter all the toys she could wish for, and have the chance to take me and my partner to Canada!

Long-term, in the next 3-5 years, I would want to get onto the property market by buying a house for me and my family. Some people call me crazy, and other people call me ambitious, I’ll let you decide.

Give us a random fact about yourself!

I was on BBC Panorama for about 10 seconds and because of this, I was a local celebrity for about a week. If anyone wants the YouTube link, it is saved on my phone!

Thanks Dwayne. We are looking forward to seeing your career progress within Netsource and you achieving your ambitions and buying that house!
