Things are very busy at Netsource, Manchester and we have had another ambitious and talented consultant join our team. We are excited to welcome Felicity Pollard. I spoke to Felicity after her first week and found out about her life before Netsource and her very large family.
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND
I came to recruitment with a wealth of experience in both retail and teaching. As part of my degree I had the amazing opportunity to live and work in France as a language assistant. I loved the experience so much that I did it twice! My previous role was working as a Sales Specialist in Victoria’s Secret which was both an amazing and special experience helping women feel empowered and beautiful. Working within sales has really helped set me up for success within recruitment, instead of selling bras I’m now selling candidates to clients and vice versa.
WHY ATTRACTED YOU TO NETSOURCE?
Netsource really stood out to me as an agency which operated with integrity and with a customer focus in mind which is exactly how I like to operate coming from a sales background. A lot of people go into recruitment for the earning potential but it’s about the how and why we go about doing that; with a customer first mind set and for the love of not only reaching targets, but smashing them.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE?
In the short term, I’m hoping to build up my own market with clients who consider me their “go-to” recruiter and a great candidate database.
I like to be forward thinking in my approach to work. I continuously ask myself, “what is the next step?” With that in mind, I’d love to go into a management position. Setting people up for success and seeing them deliver their results is something that I really enjoyed in my previous role as a team leader at Victoria’s Secret.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
As a newcomer to recruitment, I’m currently getting to grips with all the technical jargon and the ins and out the industry. Sally has been a great mentor in helping me understand the theory behind recruitment, and now it’s up to me to put it into practice!
HOW HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR FIRST WEEK?
My induction to the world of recruitment has been great. Stepping into an entirely new role has been challenging but I’ve been supported every step of the way by the amazing insights of the Netsource team.
GIVE US A RANDOM FACT ABOUT YOU
I’m one of eleven kids, each more extrovert than the last. Growing up around such big personalities has helped me learn to negotiate and made me realise that I needed a job where I could use my rapport-building skills.
Thank you Felicity – Wow!! 10 Siblings! Christmas must be busy for you!
We wish you all the best in your new career here at Netsource. We are sure you are going to make it a success.
